Project ID: EAC/S16/2013 – European cooperation

Project duration: 01.09.2016 - 28.02. 2018

REMEDY aims to emphasize the importance of remembering the past, commemorating the totalitarian regime victims and appreciating the present. The diverse EU communities involved share their history of totalitarian regimes and resistance in the fight for their rights. The project will be structured in (following) four main international events:

1. Geraci Siculo, Italy, ‘Remembrance’ (3.11.2016 – 6.11.2016); This event will address the process of ostracism used in totalitarian regimes, and also the modern form of it: marginalization of ‘immigrants’.

2. Krakow, Poland, ‘Reflection’ (26.01.2017 – 28.01.2017); Involve European forum to engage adolescents and students in a discussion about the lessons of the past.

3. Tartu, Estonia ‘Reconciliation’ (22.08.2017- 24.08.2017); Workshop will commemorate the victims of the totalitarian regimes, since remembering the history is one of the ways not to repeat it.

4. Bremen, Germany, ‘Reflection’ (23.11.2017 – 25.11.2017). This Event will consist of an art exhibition that involves all types of expression, urging the society to reflect on the issue of the past through art.
